Books & Memories LLC is upstate New York's largest entertainment exchange! We are your one-stop shop for all your reading, viewing and listening needs.
While most used bookstores sell many of their best books online, Books & Memories is dedicated to keeping a vast and varied selection in-house and does not sell online. How does this benefit our visitors? By keeping all the "gems" in-house and selling them at bargain prices for a smaller buying population (not the vast online population). Running our store this way makes our store a true "browser's paradise". With our focus on your browsing experience Books & Memories is the ideal place to "discover" books of interest you never knew you'd be interested in.
Yes, we also carry a massive collection of vinyl records and videos. Our record selection numbers somewhere in the "tens of thousands" range and all of our records are visually pre-screened at purchase for general quality and variety. This also applies to our massive video selection which at last count was over 8,000 videos and growing!
Don't have much money? Bring in your gently used books, records and videos for store credit. We will work with you!
LATEST NEWS (7/4/2010):
1. CAFE UPDATE - We are still busy upgrading the book sections, video section and record section to get a proper cafe off the ground, but we'll get there. Like the turtle, slow and steady wins the race. We'll keep you posted here.
2. BASEMENT - We are still organizing the basement, so old magazines and literary criticism are still in storage.
3. RECORD ROOM - We are currently making big changes to our record room. By adding new "top & bottom" browsing tables we hope to triple the capacity of our record room and organize the records better for your browsing convenience.
4. NEW HOURS - We are now open from 11am to 7pm, Monday thru Saturday.
